We know every event is unique, so we make sure that our shows and events are adaptable to each event’s needs.
This 3-hour workshop is an introduction to Science in Early years specifically for the Autumn term.
We love nothing more than a great celebration or massive party here at the kidwise lab, so if it’s your child’s birthday or any other reason to celebrate then you are in the right place.
Homeschooling parents know science can be a difficult subject to teach.
As part of our after school club offering we run the CREST award produced by the British Science Association.
Science without the Classroom. Your child will learn more about science in 5 days than a month at school!
We can offer the following services:

We can develop a show to go with the theme of the event. the show can also feature a small workshop and we can tailor it to the different age groups.

We can set up a stand with interactive experiments for passers-by to interact with. From giant human circuits to close-up science and even to target practice our table will be bursting with interactive science experiments. We can even include stretchy, squelchy and squishy slime making to our activity table which will certainly bring in the crowds. We have entertained at festivals and family fun days around the country including events in Trafalgar square.

We can set up a stand with interactive experiments for small groups. Parents can then prebook and bring their little scientists ready to put on a lab coat and goggles all set for the workshops
This 3-hour workshop is an introduction to Science in Early years specifically for the Autumn term. Early years practitioners will be given a tool kit of ideas on the teaching and learning of science in Early Years (ages 3-5 years) through play. The affects from these will soon be rippling through your settings. Early Years Science Provision Maps will be given to help teachers, teaching assistants and other carers to create stimulating learning experiences for very young children that develop their scientific knowledge and understanding.

The children are then invited to play a scientific party game and finally
We usually end our parties with all the children making their own ice-cream in a special scientific way, using ice and salt. They choose their favourite flavour and colour and then they can eat it afterwards… and they love it!

Boost the profile of science in your school with a visit from Kidwise.
We are on a mission to get kids excited about science from a young age. As part of this mission, we visit schools across the UK to deliver fun, interactive and educational science workshops, assemblies and other school events.
We work closely with schools and teachers to ensure our events link directly to the KS1 and KS2 science curriculum, meaning our visits fit in perfectly with your lesson planning. From states of matter to biology, our Scientists are raring to go with a collection of workshops tailored to the national curriculum and designed to inspire your pupils in a unique and interactive way.
Even if your student understands basic scientific principles, some children simply do not like science and that can lead to a lot of complaining. Add to that, the cost of equipment and materials for labs and it’s understandable why so many parents shy away from teaching science at home.
We at Kidwise use the national curriculum primary school guidlines as a guide to prepare our lessons. We take the topics and then make them FUN! We achieve this by giving students the opportunity to carry out lots of hands on practicals.

The lessons have been prepared for children aged 5–11and they provide a strong foundation for later learning. These sessions are run in a practical manner and help develop that love or science.

For our youngest students aged 5-7 we offer a range of Lower Primary courses. These students will require a high level of teacher led support.

We also offer Upper Primary courses for children aged 7-11. As children progress through the Upper Primary years their level of independence with studying will begin to increase.
We are currently working on converting a decommissioned Euro 6 Compliant bus into a Mobile STEM lab, with a state-of-the-art Science laboratory and Computer Programming space.
Our multifunctional STEM mobile learning space enables Kidwise to bring fun and hands-on activities, such as SCIENCE and computer coding clubs, direct to communities that it otherwise wouldn’t be able to reach.
We will have several workshops available for schools and community groups to book on our bus e.g., Engineering, Science of motion, Astronomy….and many more.
